Encouraging peer support networks and mentorship programs within the organization can provide opportunities for nurses to discuss and learn from each other’s experiences with implementing EBP.
To conclude, a collaborative approach between nurses and organizations is essential to ensure that nurses are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to their patients.
2. The responsibility of staying current with new research and evidence-based practice findings in nursing primarily falls on the agency/organization. Individual nurses have a responsibility to maintain and enhance their competence throughout their careers by engaging with recent research and EBP. Without substantial organizational support, expecting individual nurses to stay current with new research is unrealistic. Therefore, the agency/organization must ensure nurses have the resources and time needed to integrate the latest evidence-based practices into clinical care effectively.
