After completing the weekly readings, take the conflict styles assessment above to understand your individual preferences and tendencies related to your conflict management style.
As you develop your main post, please include your thoughts and perspectives on your results of the conflict styles assessment (question #1) and any two of the following questions #2-4. What is your perspective on the results of your conflict style assessment – do the results make sense, do you agree or disagree with the findings? How can you use these results to better understand and predict how you may behave in different types of conflict situations? Are there any areas for improvement you could address to hone your conflict management skills?
What are the benefits and challenges of the different types of conflict stylest outlined in Chapter 7? How can a manager work towards creating a collaborative cutlture through open-minded discussions and negotiated agreements? In your response integrate an example from your own professional experiences.

In your response integrate an example from your own professional experiences. Review Table 12.1 Environmental Stimulants and Obstacles to Creativity in Chapter 12. Describe which of the factors you connect with the most when thinking about a successful team. What aspects of your conflict styles assessment results do you think influence your response to this?

The initial post should be approximately 300-350 words in length and made by Thursday evening at 11:59pm ET.
All posts must incorporate learning gained from the weekly readings and be substantive, relevant, and respectful, and contribute value to the discussion.
The two reply posts should be a minimum of 125 words in length and may be made any time before Sunday evening by 11:59pm ET. Each reply post must speak directly to your peer’s response to Question 1 above. What suggestions do you have for for them to hone their conflict management skills?
