Description
This case study will be based on the Twin Falls Community Hospital Case Study. Read the case study before beginning, then write a report which is organized into the following sections:
Section 1: Overview.
• Analyze the current financial situation based on factors found in the case study.
• Identify current strategy and analyze: What competitive advantage is the company trying to achieve?
• Significant current problems and issues: State clearly and succinctly without repeating facts of case unless necessary for emphasis.
Section 2: Analysis and Evaluation
Analyze the financial benefit of the surgery center acquisition:
• Identify and discuss the key components of financial success utilizing the financial indicators as well as the cash flow analysis for Years 4 and 5.
• Identify and analyze the non-financial components of the acquisition of the surgery center.
• Identify the importance of the impact on the current operations on both the volumes of cases as well as the intangible benefits of the surgery center acquisition. Incorporate your answers to Questions 3 and 4 of the case to assess the impact to the organization on the current hospital operations.
Section 3: Recommendations and Action Plan

• State how the recommendations solve the problems and issues identified in Section 1.
Identify and propose an action plan for implementation:

• Key Success Factors Chart and monitoring timeline

Your report should be about eight pages in length, and no more than 10 pages (2,500 words), not including appendices. For formatting, double space the report. Use ¾- to 1-inch margins, and use a standard 10- to 12-point font.
