Transfer Admission Application Essay for Princeton University:
This is a transfer application to Princeton University, specifically Princeton College Arts and Science. Please carefully review the 11-page instruction document attached (PDF), which provides detailed guidelines on writing this admission essay. The document includes the essay prompt, my personal experiences, my extracurricular activities with detailed descriiptions, and the reasons for my interest in Princeton (“Why Princeton”). Take your time to write this essay.
What I have shared about my personal experiences represents a “brain dump” of my thoughts. Dear Writer, I would like you to review my story and experiences in conjunction with the 10-page instruction document. What I’ve written so far is a synopsis and a general outline of my story and experiences. I ask that you compile all the information, organize it effectively, and craft a strong and compelling essay for my Princeton transfer application. Refer to page 1 of the instructions for additional guidance. I am NOT asking for a complete rewrite; instead, I want you to gather all the information, structure it well, and create a persuasive, compelling, and polished essay by gathering all the information I shared about myself.

Dear Writer, Please keep the following points in mind as you write this essay:
1. Intellectual Vitality: You’re a scholar who loves learning, you have palpable academic energy, raw intelligence, or unusual thoughtfulness.
2. Essay Selection: You need to pick something smart and scholarly to write about. Choose something specific, unusual, or endearing.
3. Texture: Your personality pops off the page through novel interests and endearing personal qualities—that show you’re humble, authentic, and have moxie.
4. Show Don’t Tell: As you expand on whatever theme you’ve decided to explore in your essay, remember to show, don’t tell.
5. Focus on Deeper Themes: College admissions officers are interested in learning more about who you are as a person and what makes you tick.
6. Write With the Reader in Mind: Think about any information you may have left out that the reader may need to know. Are there ideas you have included that do not help illustrate your theme?
7. End Your Essay With a “Kicker”: Be concise and coherent, engage in honest self-reflection, and include vivid details and anecdotes that deftly illustrate your point. It can tip the balance in your favor if admissions officers are considering a candidate with a similar GPA and background.
