I am working on my capstone project for my Psychology class and the topic I am doing is
Internet Gaming Disorder. I have worked on the introduction so far and the Methods and
Results and now I need to focus on the discussion part.
I am attaching the rubric which I ask you follow along with my prior submissions and here is some feedback I received:
Introduction Feedback: Thank you for sharing your research starting points with me. You did a great job painting a picture of your intended direction. Please review the rubric feedback I provided as we move forward to the next milestone. Again, you are not actually collecting data or running analyses due to time. Please use either expected data or pre-existing similar data from other studies to complete this portion. Please also paraphrase a bit more as your paper came back with a 53% match to online resources. As always, please contact me for support.
Methods and Results: You did a nice job moving through an experimental procedure that will help to address your research questions. As you move forward, just continue to make sure to write this portion so others can replicate your study. This is called the Replication Effect and often times how we get our ideas to further our research agenda. The participants in this study were identified. Good job including the various instruments and questions you hope to use in this line of research. This will be a great time to include any psychometric evaluation of the instruments. For conference presentations, including reliability and validity indices of the assessment materials will be valuable as well. Thank you for including the necessary ethical considerations for the study. Since we are investigating a topic requiring cautious consideration, we will need to expand on the protection of the population, how information will be stored/locked, and how APA ethics will be a top priority for conference level application. I understand the complexity of this component. As a hypothetical study, we are only required to use a research paradigm that will likely assist with our results coming to fruition. Please let me know if you would like to go over any additional parametric design options. Please also remember when we write the final portion of the paper, we will include recommendations for future study and what we would do differently for a better outcome. This usually will include what may be unexpected, but still got in the way contributing to error. No distracting issues with spelling or grammar. APA formatting was on target, but please place your references in alphabetical order. Just remember for your final publish, please consider continuing to include additional tables and graphs to move this work to a conference level.
