Using specific examples from the chapters, what does Polo tell his readers about Khubilai Khan and his family?
How does Polo describe the Khan’s palace, the surrounding city, and the use of money and communications in the Khan’s realm?
Does Polo present a favorable view of Khubilai Khan and his realm? Explain your answer with specific examples.
Finally, what does Polo’s narrative tell us about his own concerns and viewpoint?
In other words, does it matter, from an historical perspective, if the Aryan migrations occurred or not? Why or why not?
