An oral presentation is one of the most essential skills in business communication. Students will develop a four-minute scripted training presentation that focuses on the foundations of business communication. The purpose of this presentation is to provide an audience with an overview of business communication. Visual aids such as images, clip art, transitions, and animations must be appropriately applied. Students must follow the guidelines for developing visual support provided in the textbook.
Each presentation should include:
Title slide
Reference slide
Proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and APA format for citations
Clear, concise information on the slide; more detail can be articulated verbally
Appropriate transitions, visual aids, pictures, charts, etc.
Eight to ten slides with four minutes of narrative (this means voice-over to go along with each slide in your presentation).
You are required to export the presentation as a movie file and then upload it to either YouTube or Vimeo. Both are video sharing platforms. Make sure you upload your video as “Unlisted.” You can also upload your video as a Media submission in the online classroom.
Once you upload the presentation, share the video link with your instructor by submitting it via the Canvas submission link. Also, you are required to share the presentation with your classmates by posting the link in the designated discussion board.
For YouTube video: This assignment requires entering a website URL (Links to an external site.) for your submission. After you have reviewed the assignment instructions and rubric, as applicable, complete your submission by selecting the Submit Assignment button next to the assignment title.
Media submission: This assignment requires submission of a media file (Links to an external site.). After you have reviewed the assignment instructions and rubric, as applicable, complete your submission by selecting the Submit Assignment button next to the assignment title.
Requirements: A 8-10 Slide PPT Presentation Excluding title, conclusion, and reference slides + a 520 Word Speech Written in Times New Roman Size 12 Font Double-Spaced APA Format Excluding the Title and Reference Pages to go with the PPT
